Re: What is "normal" iCloud syncing behavior?
I use Bookends on two Macs. It seems the login is required every time I change the machine. As long as I don't log in on the other computer, there is no Apple ID request. I did not test it with the respect of 8 hours or tracked time between the logins.

ScienceDirect for Online Searches
Hello,
I don't quite understand the filters and I am not even sure if it is possible, but if so, I am searching for the possibility to search for references via Online Search of Bookends on ScienceDirect (www.sciencedirect.com).
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Re: iCloud Drive questions
This does look cumbersome. Somehow, the sync via WiFi did work seemingly with all the attachments. Or I forgot I did something specific... Anyway, this is one of the things I still hesitate to recommend Bookends on IOS to my colleagues still using Mendeley and such. Then, I do think macOS version sh...

Oh right, it should just open the PDF attachment pane as it does now. I expressed myself incorrectly.

Re: Is there a way to mark a paper as "read"?
It probably would but the problem is I use colour coding for something else already. And, as far as I am aware, you can add only one colour label per reference.

Re: Is there a way to mark a paper as "read"?
I was thinking about using Smart Groups for that. For example, I could promise myself I would rate any read article. Then, one can use a term Rating is/is not. But the only option is None or other rather specific values. Is there any way to add a reference with Any rating? Hm, one could possibly is ...

Well, that is one fantastic feature I would also like to see in the future releases of Bookends.
