Re: Copy and Paste from Melle to Word
Is there a way to copy and paste the thesis from Mellel into word and have it copy in the 'links' from bookends instead of just the bibliographic information. If by 'links' you mean 'temporary citations', then you can do that. But I don't understand the purpose of this task. is there a way to copy ...

Re: Looking for suggestions on workflow (re: projects and their references)
Until now I had several static groups, each with several references. So, which reference goes into which static group? I use static groups mainly for projects I'm working on. When I finish a project the references remain in the static group. That enables me to keep track of which references I used ...

Duplicating Smart Groups and Smart Folders
Is there any way to duplicate Smart Groups and Smart Folders? Creating a Smart Group with many search terms can be tedious. Often I need to create a new Smart Group which is almost identical to another Smart Group, except for one search term. Being able to duplicate an elaborated Smart Group and hav...

Re: MLA 8 Suggestion
Since the MLA 8 Citation standard simply requires the writer to fill in a number of fields and does not provide special punctuation or formatting for different types of fields This is not correct. According to the 8th edition of the MLA Handbook, capitalization and the punctuation between the main ...

Re: Problems importing into Bookends from the PNAS website
I downloaded that file as a "Bookends" import file. it has an .ris extension. I then imported it into Bookends using the RIS filter (I did a drag and drop). Yes, I did that too. I know I'm doing something wrong. How can I activate the RIS filter? I only see this when I try drag and drop: ...

Problems importing into Bookends from the PNAS website
Hello, here is an important article on the PNAS website (= Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America.) If you click on the Citation Tools button (in the upper right corner) you can download the title in various citation manager formats, including Bookends . Howe...

Re: Problems finding books in the Library of Congress
I tried your searches on the Library of Congress web site and got results similar to yours -- nothing when you mixed author and title, 264 hits with Georg Büchner alone. I'm not sure I understand you correctly. Did you repeat my search in *Bookends*, or did you perform the search on their web site ...

Why can't I write formatted text?
Hello Jon, I wanted to write some formatted text in the forum today using Safari, but all the formatting tools (bold, italic, URL, Font color etc) are irresponsive. I switched to Firefox, in case that might make any difference, and then got this message: "Your connection is not secure. The owne...

Re: Problems finding books in the Library of Congress
Note that when I did a boolean Library of Congress search (in Bookends) for author = Büchner, Georg title = The complete collected works I got one hit, which I assume is the one you were looking for. Yes, now I remember, I did a similar boolean search a while ago when I was looking for something el...

Problems finding books in the Library of Congress
I'm having problems finding books in the Library of Congress. I use "Library of Congress Z39.50" as an import filter; the other "Library of Congress" filter is not unicode savvy. Today I searched for The Complete Collected Works of Georg Büchner who lived 1813-1837. With " A...
