Scanning problem with Scrivener > Bookends > Mellel combo
Hi, my problem involves three actors, so it's a bit unfair picking this forum over another; but I need to start somewhere. I use Scrivener to write my texts, Bookends to manage citations, and (ideally) Mellel to finish the product in. My problem, simply, is that when I compile my document from Scriv...

Re: 12.5 is a great update!
The reverse here - I kept selecting Calibre when I wanted to go to Bookends. The new icon may not be that distinctive, but its clever use of color makes it stand out - for me, at least.

Re: Feature request: automatic window resize upon changing screen resolution
Now, if I could get that degree of instant gratification for all my feature requests... thanks.

Feature request: automatic window resize upon changing screen resolution
Hi, As a user of two screens of different resolutions (Retina MBP and external HP 1920px display) it would be useful to me if Bookends could automatically reduce (and, preferably, also expand) its window to fit the screen I'm working on. At the moment, I have to manually reduce the window after I've...

Re: Batch edit and text formatting removal
Hi Jon (and others). No. 1 was something of an RTFM moment for me, I guess - I simply didn't find the option. As for no. 2, of course I now always match the style. As I'm finding out now that the moment of scanning and printing my dissertation is upon me, I wasn't always so careful in the past...

Batch edit and text formatting removal
Hi all, I couldn't find an answer to a few questions I had, so I'm putting it to you. Although I don't know wheter it's convenient to ask two questions in one post, I thought it even more strange to post two questions separately. So here goes. There's two things I'd like to do on Bookends: 1. Batch ...

Ads in Bookends on Tap (NOT Lite)
Hi, Since updating today I notice that there are (various) ads at the bottom of my screen in Bookends on Tap when I try to read a PDF file, even blocking the page overview. Is this intended (I sure hope not) or is this something I can solve?

Re: Feature request: contextualized search results
Hi Jon,
Thanks for the reply, and I regularly use the spotlight search, which is a great feature. However, it's precisely the presentation of context that could be so useful to me. I'm not saying you should steal the idea, but it might work as inspiration. Ahem...

Feature request: contextualized search results
Hi all, I have been using Bookends (with a short hiatus) for aeons, but I'm using Mendeley on my work machine. For me, Mendeley's killer feature is that when I search for a term, it will search the PDF files attached to a reference as well and present that term, including the surrounding text - maki...

Re: PDF fulltext search in Bookends attachments
Hi,
Thanks. Yes, I did mean that. And Bookends' functionality will cover me for now.
Cheers,
Ilja

Re: Dutch Filter
The problem is that the NCC is hosted by PiCarta, which is a commercial company. Libraries require a login to gain access, and they are charged per connection. A public search tool is therefore unlikely to be made available. Crazy situation, but there you are.

Re: PDF fulltext search in Bookends attachments
Ah, RTFM? Sorry.
However, the same search yields quite a few more results in Mendeley than it does in Bookends. Moreover, Mendeley shows the context of the search words, which is really useful.

PDF fulltext search in Bookends attachments
I did not find any answer on this on the forum, so here goes: Does anyone know whether it is possible to do a fulltext search in all the PDFs in a library? And if not, are there any plans (Jon?) to include it anytime soon? To me, this is a killer feature in Mendeley and Zotero and it would really ma...
