Thank you for looking into this. In the meantime, I took your advice and used a softer color as a workaround.

I find the colors of the highlights too strong and fatiguing, so it is my use to decrease their opacity from the internal Bookends reader settings. The problem (as you can see from the screens below) is that once I close Bookends the opacity is reset to the initial value of 100%.. https://i.postimg....

That means that what is output before and/or after cited pages in the final citation can be different for different reference Types.

To prevent the URL from being imported, edit the Google Books.fltr (delete the "Image URL:" tab). If you want to prevent the cover art from being downloaded, go to Google Bookends in the Online Search window (the direct search, not in Bookends Browser) and uncheck the option Display Image...
