Add Replace feature to the REGEX search
It would be great if we have the replace feature as well for the great REGEX search.

Clickable url
is it difficult to make the url (u18) field clickable in stead of putting "go to url" command?
It would have been much easier for the user if we can simply click on the URL field.

Re: Multi volume books
Depends on the style you use. Some styles might command you to cite them in a certain form.
I treat them as separate books. Most of the journals in my field use the APA style. Putting them as separate books in BE, and putting the volume in the Vol field appears to work fine.

Re: Adding new default reference Types
Conference Paper is known as inproceedings in the bibtex terms. Screen Shot 2022-06-29 at 1.32.45 PM.png Another popular type is the "incollection" which very similar to inproceedings, still differs from it because it uses "book title" in place of "conference" or "...

Re: Request: Common Sets of Smart Groups across Libraries
Duplicating the master library is another strategy. 1. Duplicate the library that contains the smart folders: call the new copy TemplateLib 2. delete all the references within the TemplateLib 3. Every time you want to create a new library, you simply duplicate TemplateLib and import your references ...

Re: Bookends quit unexpectedly in Monterey
If you read the link I attached above, BLUEFROG noted that disabling SIP is causing panics in Monterey. It’s also inadvisable, generally speaking, to disable SIP. In fact, I’ve had many kernel panics on a brand new M1 Mini running 12.3.1 with SIP disabled during my testing. So add that to the reason...

That is true. Since it is implemented in the preferences, I am totally happy about it.

Re: Bookends quit unexpectedly in Monterey
This exact problem is also happening on the Devonthink as well. The problem seems to have to do with SIP: https://discourse.devontechnologies.com/t/devonthink-quitting-of-its-own-accord/70939 https://discourse.devontechnologies.com/t/macos-monterey-2013-mac-pro-trashcan-2015-macbook-pro-devonthink-s...

Re: More flexible citekey generation
Making the library name CamelCase is OK. But what about the unique ID? Any objection to a colon between the date and the uniqueID? Jon Sonny Software Sure, I think keeping a colon between the date and the UniqueID is a good idea because they are all numbers (would be hard to parse for the eye). Dea...

Re: More flexible citekey generation
I defer that @Dellu and/or others may appreciate when the colon does not appear at all. Either case (with or without colon) is fine with me. Thanks for allowing the open discussion on this. Thank you so much dear DrJJWMac for pointing that out. Dear Jon, can you help me by removing the colon from t...

Re: More flexible citekey generation
Dellu has a good perspective. I had especially forgotten about the limitations on _ in LaTex. A + Y + LN --> Smith2022Books or Smith2022:Books either colon or nothing. Thank you so much for understanding dear DrJJWMac. This means a lot for me because I am extremely invested on this feature. I will ...

Re: More flexible citekey generation
makes a lot of sense to use the underscore because, unlike the author and date, the library is not part of the reference metadata. I understand the logic why you want it separated from the other units. First, I would like to emphasize that this discussion is just an addendum; not a big deal; I am d...

Re: More flexible citekey generation
Thank you for implementing this feature. This is so great. I have been experimenting with the patterns. I find the pattern Author+year+LibraryName very attractive. I think I am going to settle on this pattern. If it is not too much to ask, can you remove the underscore and directly suffix the Librar...

Re: View Settings fail to 'stick'
For me, the view is sticky--whether I restart BE or just one library, I am getting exactly the same view setup. But, I am using version 14.0.6.
