Hi! I'm VERY happy with BE 12.5.2 on Mac. Will we see some refresh of BOT soon? I'm thinking about new icon, better sidebar icons and cleaner rendering of the summary view (especially the text), all to match the Mac version. I know, it's not that important... but I like it.

Re: Google scholar searches not working
GoogleScholar search is still not working on BE 12.5.2. I have exactly the same issues than granmon describes. It is really unusable.

Re: Highlighted PDF text badly displayed as notecards
Something to add: when I display those "problematic" highlights in Preview (in the side bar), most of them are very well displayed. I have just few missing spaces here and there; 95% is clean. It's really better than in the BE viewer, although those highlights have all been done in BE and ...

Re: Highlighted PDF text badly displayed as notecards
Of course I believe you, and although it does not answer my question I did read the user guide about this issue. I'm just curious about why other PDF apps extract highlights perfectly, like preview or papers. They should encounter the same problems as in BE, but actually they do a slightly better jo...

Re: Highlighted PDF text badly displayed as notecards
Oh sorry I didn't check the user guide as I didn't expect that I might encounter explanations about this kind of issues in it. Next time I'll give a quick look before posting a question. But anyway, I don't get how a highlight made in BE can embed an incorrect info. I mean, (simple curiosity) what c...

Highlighted PDF text badly displayed as notecards
Hi all, I noticed that when I toggle the display of highlights as notecards, it is frequently badly done. Some letters and spaces are missing, which seems to affect more words begin the highlight or that are at beginning of a highlighted line in the PDF. Anybody experienced the same issue? Cheers, B...

You must be right about local issues, but I can't figure it out at the moment... Will let you know about my findings.

Re: Google scholar searches not working
Hi, I have the same issues all the time: no matches from GS, although I search for less than 10 papers a week those days. BTW Pubmed search gives me nothing 2 times out of 3 (works with some refs, not with others, with no apparent pattern). Quite mysterious...

Re: Term list by reference type
As there's usually few types (compared to what you can find in term lists like authors, date or keywords...!), I would suggest you to just create one smart group per reference type you would like to access quickly, as it will sit in your group window. I did one for books (including book chapter), th...

Re: Feature Request: drag-n-drop renaming in the term list
Awesome feature in fact. It works very well in Mendeley and Papers. It allows curating the database with less risk of mistake. Plus, as it is easier and very quick, I find myself doing it very often in other programs.
Thanks Jon (I'm still VERY impressed by the support you provide)

Re: Yosemite's UI version ?
In fact I read your message again and it was not that negative at all. My apologize, I guess I should post things after my morning coffe... Then I agree a lot. It shouldn't be that difficult to blend BE a little more into os x. For now it just look like a snow leopard app. Still better then some oth...

Re: Yosemite's UI version ?
Iandol I totally disagree. Making BE a little more polished and integrated in the new os x echosystem would be valuable for all aspects of the app. Don't get me wrong: it is already fully functional and not ugly at all. Just saying that it is a classic os x app, then it deserves (I believe) to be 10...

Re: Yosemite's UI version ?
Sorry I was talking about the titles in the single column display. Variable heigh for the note cards would be great because if I (for example) highlight just few words but a lot of time (or make tiny notes, as "remember", "wrong" or "good!") in a paper, I still can see ...

Re: Yosemite's UI version ?
Thanks for the quick answer! I was thinking about a better, more modern rendering of references in the list view, especially the titles for which the template is too big (for my taste). I also find that the note cards take too much space when the linked note or highlight is short. I'm also thinking ...
