Journal glossary in BibTeX export
Hi,
Is there a way to automatically include the journal abbreviation in a format field, e.g. to add a shortbook or shortjournal field to a BibTeX export?

Re: Obtaining the currently selected items in Applescript
Cool, that fixed it. (Though is that something I'll have to do regularly in Bookends?)

Obtaining the currently selected items in Applescript

Re: Guidance on switching to Bookends
The popup menu reverts to the first item, but whatever you edited for Editors should still be there. Use the popup menu to view the Editor settings again -- did it remember whatever you entered? If so, you're done. Actually this doesn't seem to persist after all. I can send screenshots, and I'm sur...

Re: Right pane scrolling behaviour
In other apps it only seems to happen if the content of the field is actually scrollable. In Bookends, it happens even if only a single line of text is in a multiline text box. Is that normal? Maybe I just haven't encountered that UI in other apps - e.g. in Pages all the text boxes in the right pane...

Right pane scrolling behaviour
A little frustration with the right pane: if the cursor is above a field, two-finger scrolling on the touchpad scrolls the field, rather than the pane. This occurs even if the field does not have any further content to display. As a result, one has to find a blank (i.e. non-field) part of the right ...

Oxford U.fltr online search missing fields
Hi, If I use the Online search window, and enter "frame common cultural heritage" as the query with Oxford U.fltr selected, I get the following result: MARC Record 00982cam 2200265 a 4500 001 019175094 003 UkOxU 005 20120313102208.0 008 110822s2011 mdua r 010 0 eng 010 $a 2011034292 020 $a...

Re: Guidance on switching to Bookends
Next little challenge: I've got a fair number of documents with with references to citation keys generated by the BibTeX export from Zotero. These don't appear in an RIS Zotero export. Any suggestions on how to import with citekeys intact? I can e.g. just retain a copy of the Zotero .bib file and us...

Re: Guidance on switching to Bookends
1. In preferences you can tell Bookends to use a format to rename PDFs. Thus, define a format that outputs what you want: a d t. And set it to output just the first author, surname only of that's what you want. Almost there on this one, I think. The only little wrinkle is that if I tick "Use (...

Re: Guidance on switching to Bookends
Is there an export scripting interface? Or do people just tend to postprocess with a script (in whatever language)?
