Hypertext link as a format field
It would be most useful if the hypertext link could be specified as one of the format fields in the Format Manager. This would allow us to export data from Bookends to other applications, while retaining the link to the original Bookends entry. Thanks.

Bookends significantly faster?
Might be my imagination, but it seems that opening, searching etc. are significantly faster in v.11. Thanks for that!

Re: Automatically attach Skim notes
Thanks, Ozean. I agree that Preview has come along way. What I am seeking are stand-alone notes that can link automatically to a reference. Stand-alone notes offer significant flexibility.

Automatically attach Skim notes
As I annotate PDF files attached to the BE library, Skim automatically saves a text file alongside the annotated PDF. It would be useful if there was an option for BE to automatically attach this note file to the reference the PDF is attached to.

Attaching a text file
If I attempt to attach a text file to a reference via drag and drop, BE thinks I am trying to import references from a text file. The only way I can see to attach a text file is through the Attachment Inspector, which is cumbersome. Am I missing something?

Re: Request: Scrivener integration
Would you consider enabling scanning multiple files? That would be useful not only for Scrivener users. I seem to remember that EndNote used to have that feature.Jon wrote:Bookends can scan rtfd files now. But only one rtf document per package is allowed.

Request: Scrivener integration
Scrivener stores each project as a package, including a collection of RTF files. If Bookends could access these files, and format them collectively, creating in the process an RTF containing the reference list, that would be very nice. It would allow us to use Scrivener for an entire project, includ...

Re: Using Notecards
Now (v. 10.5.1) that we have the ability to edit text files that are attached to a BE reference, there exists a very efficient workflow to interface with DEVONthink. (Note that this workflow does not use Notecards). I have one or more RTF files that I attach to a BE reference, with each file contain...

Re: Using Notecards
The ability to attach and read text files is useful, but it would be superb if these files would appear where the Notecards are displayed now. That is, the user would be able to rapidly enter notes in this stream, and view the contents of all the notes. The user would not need to open files individu...

Re: Using Notecards
You can export each Note field (which contains one or many notecards) as a separate file. And you can embed the link to the Bookends reference the note field is in the notes Indeed you can, and I neglected to mention that this is how I use this powerful new feature. In the previous post I was refer...
