Using Bookends with Harvard Library service?
Hi Jon, We recently discussed using BE with a specific proxy, and I am very happy to see that you have incorporated this feature in the new version :D. I am currently at Harvard and here they have a different way of setting up things and I was wondering whether it is possible to use BE behind a Harv...

Re: Setup to always use proxy?
I completely agree on the 'keep things as simple as possible' - however adding a tick-mark for 'advanced settings' or similar shouldn't mess up things too badly. Whilst I agree that Bookends should certainly pickup the system settings by default, it would be nice to be able - under certain circumsta...

Re: Setup to always use proxy?
But would it be possible to enable the addition of proxy server info in BE itself in a future version - hereby bypassing the need for entering this in system preferences? The problem is that if I have the proxy turned on 'system wide' all my internet data will go through the proxy - and what I reall...

Setup to always use proxy?
Hi, My university requires me to use a proxy server in order to access online journals. Whilst I could enable this proxy in the System Preferences, I would rather not have to use their proxy for all my other normal web-traffic. I was therefore wondering whether BE would allow me to bypass the System...

Re: Renaming attachments
Sorry, I guess I wasn't specific enough - I meant changing the attachment name via the new inspector - if I click to 'Rename Attachment...' it only allows me to type in text. If there was a checkbox here saying 'rename according to prefs' or something similar, then that would be great.

Renaming attachments
Hi, Glad to see all the new improvements in 10.4.1!! I was exited to see the ability to rename already attached attachments, BUT I was wondering whether it wouldn't be possible to improve on this feature: 1. The ability to rename the attachment according to the current 'Rename attachments' settings ...

Re: Saving window position?
Hmmmm, I posted a reply, but it didn't show up -I wonder whether there is a problem with the forum?
Tried your suggestion, but to no avail - window still shows up too small. Rather weird actually!

Saving window position?
Hi, I thought I already did a post on this, but can't seem to find it.... Anyway - I have a problem with BE not remembering my window position and size. Every time I restart the program my library opens up in a very little and compact window (480x800 maybe?). Any idea why this may be or how to fix i...

sorting online searches by date?
Hi, I just noticed that when you are sorting online pubmed searches by date it will sort according to the alphabet or something funny? I just did a search and this is how the results were listed: May 9 May 8 May 3 May 21 May 2 May 12 May 11 May 1 May Mar 21 Jun 1 Jun 1 Jun Feb-Mar Apr 5 Apr 30 Apr 2...

Feature request: Recently viewed reference/history
Hi, Quite often I see myself having to go back to the reference I just viewed two references ago or 5 minutes earlier. I then have to search for that reference again in order to find it - which is of course okay. However, would it be possible to include a "history" menu somewhere in the pr...

Hi jon, Been trying out the public beta and in general it is quite nice! There are a few things though - some of which I am pretty sure can't be resolved, but I am going to mention them anyway: 1. Documents scan very nicely (better than Word in fact!), but cannot be unscanned 2. Bibliography is past...
