Re: Search box obscuring search focus
FWIW, this same bug is manifested in DevonThinkToGo2, and AFAIK they are also struggling to get it to work as expected.

These look fantastic - thank you for sharing. Will hopefully be able to give them a go in the next few days!

Re: Search box obscuring search focus
Great to hear! I am pleasantly surpised at how well iOS 11 is allowing productive use of my various writing related apps.
Scrivener and DTTG in split-view, with BEoT as a floating 3rd, allows Mac-like writing with negligible drawbacks!

Re: Need help with Conditional Formatting
The default output for conditional groupings is the last option in the chain. If you want nothing output if none of the options fulfill the criteria you should terminate the chain with a ^. Bookends will output what comes after the last ^ (i.e. nothing). Like this u1 {[a]^[e $(ed)^^(eds)$]^} t (d)....

Need help with Conditional Formatting
Hello all, I am feeling fairly humbled (alternatively, stupid) at the moment, since I cannot get right what I am hoping should be simple to set up... Hopefully, someone will be able to point me in the right direction, as I am spending too much time on this – relative to what must still be done! :oop...

Re: Moving to new Mac - best practices
If your attachments are in the default folder, just move them to the same location on the new Mac (you may have to adjust preferences, depending on where they are). Move your Custom folders to the corresponding location on the new Mac (again, you may have to point there in preferences). You don't n...

Moving to a new Mac - anything to keep in mind i.r.o. BEoT?
Hello all, Will be setting up BE12 on a new Mac in the next few days. Assuming that my library name stays the same - is there anything that needs to be done regarding the sync process with BEoT? Or should it simply go on as before – again, assuming I simply move my existing library across, and open ...

Re: Moving to new Mac - best practices
New Mac hopefully arriving Friday, or Monday. Anyone have thoughts on my question above? Does the full pathname of the current Attachments folder matter - or will it be fine to simply copy the entire Attachments folder, put it wherever on the new Mac, and point BE towards it? Copying the actual libr...

Moving to new Mac - best practices
Hello all,
Any suggestions i.r.o. making the move to a new Mac, so as to maintain the integrity of my Library - and not have the links between them and their attachments break?
Had a look at the Manual, but cannot seem to find anything specific regarding how best to make the move across.

Re: Simple(?) assistance with Smart Group
Bookends only finds PDFs if they are in the default attachment folder, the Finder will find them anywhere (unless you restrict it). So the numbers can vary. Also, Bookends won't find files that originally had a colon in the name (that the Finder changed to a slash), and if you're auto-naming that c...

Re: Sync help – Restore from BEoT to BE12
This just saved my bacon. I synced 2635 references over to my iPP this morning. Later, a misfired macro accidentally deleted 2 references in BE12, before I knew what was happening. I now had 2633 references on my Mac, in BE12 - and worst of all, had know way of knowing which two references were dele...

Simple(?) assistance with Smart Group
Hello all, Apologies if this should rather be a support query! I'm attempting to do something that should be simple. But I'm thinking I might be missing something obvious - alternatively, there is possibly a much easier way of achieving what I need, that I'm not seeing! Hope someone can suggest/conf...
