Bookends doesn’t have direct search for bioRxiv, but you can download references from Safari. Find a reference you want to import and then click on the "Citation Tools” link on the bioRxiv page, choose RIS or Bookends from the menu and iOS will download the file and propose to open it in Booken...

Please try some of suggestions about "Restore failed Cannot connect to iTunes Store" problem from google. Bookends just sends a request to iOS to restore purchases, so it's a problem on iOS level.

I would try to do usual Wi-Fi sync if libraries are linked and can see each other, of course. In case of some problems... delete, and re-install is the simplest method. I will check what can be wrong with emptying big libraries.

Yes, the app can be deleted, re-installed and fully re-synced, but is also should sync fine for the restored library... Are you using Wi-Fi of Cloud Sync?

We are planning to add Siri Shortcuts support later this year, and theoretically it will be possible to get any reference and convert it to any format you want and then send to any app. It looks like this type of automation will be much better than adding a hard-coded solution to Bookends for iOS.

Bookends doesn’t create any subfolders there, and, yes, all files are stored just in the iCloud Folder even if different libraries are used.

Did you try "Autofill From Internet" via the Edit button from the toolbar? It tries to fetch available information by PMID, DOI, or ISBN.
