Doh!
Why didn't I think of that?
Replaced in 8202 references! Out of 16000. Wonder where they came from.
Thanks

DOI field contains spaces
I am experiencing a problem where the doi field is showing up in formatted references because in the library that field contains empty characters -- apparently three spaces. This is happening with both new and old references, ones with which there was no problem in the past. I enclose a screen shot:...

Re: replace any attachments already there....
So the reference would end up with two PDF attached.

Re: replace any attachments already there....
And what would happen to the new PDF? It would also be attached? Or the old PDF would have the name of the new PDF, and the new PDF would be trashed?

replace any attachments already there....
"Fixed a bug when adding a PDF via the watch folder to an existing reference where it would replace any attachments already there."
Does this recent bug fix mean what I think it does: the files that were previously attached will be lost for ever? Or merely moved to the trash?

modified journal glossary
I have a modified journal glossary that Bookends seems to have lost because it doesn't have the .gloss extension. Can I just add the extension? It is in the Custom Journal Glossaries folder within the Bookends folder.

Re: Author search isn't
Exploring further: the search function starts working before Return is entered. On some occasions the behavior I describe above occurs. I've haven't yet figured out what those occasions are. But once Return is entered, the correct results appear in the main window.

Author search isn't
There are times, in BE 13.2.6 and at least the previous version, when although BE claims to be conducting a search on the Author field, it evidently isn't. I attach a screen shot. Notice "Search Authors" indicated below the search field. Notice the name typed into this field: "Furui.&...

Re: Remove a reference from a group without deleting reference?
I have the opposite request: when I'm working in a group I'd like to be able to delete a reference completely - from the library, not just from the group. This occurs when I come across a duplicate. Or if I'm in the Watch group and decide I want to remove a reference that I've recently added. The on...

Re: Adding to existing reference
The problem is with the automatic matching of an imported pdf to an existing reference. This process leaves no trace: it doesn't even change the Last Modified date of the reference it is adding to. There is no way to see what match was made, let alone prevent an incorrect match.

Re: Adding to existing reference
It's happening again! I am losing pdfs because when they are imported (from the watch folder) they are attached (incorrectly) to an existing reference. Can we please have an option to approve or disapprove such an action? Or at least some kind of report so that we can see which reference the file wa...

Re: Adding to existing reference
The pdf is printed off a website, so I'd be very surprised if it has its DOI inside. But among the references the pdf includes the DOI of the reference it's been linked to: Sperry, D. E., Sperry, L. L., & Miller, P. J. (2018). Reexamining the verbal environments of children from different socioe...
