Re: Web of Science OpenURLs and DOIs / PMIDs
OK, dual servers are now fixed with the HTTP GET requests looking fine. Thanks!

[Feature Request] Sync Ignore Case settings
Hi, BE allows to use Custom folders to sync formats etc with Dropbox/GDrive etc. Preferences are currently not synced which I don't mind too much, but It would be great if the "Don't Change Case" list could become a separate file and would be stored in the custom folder so we could sync it...

Re: Web of Science OpenURLs and DOIs / PMIDs
Confirm that this works in V12.7.3, though I'm having problems with adding more than one server: for example: Screen Shot 2016-07-15 at 11.05.44.png http://ws.isiknowledge.com/cps/openurl/service? http://ws.isiknowledge.com/cps/openurl/service?svc.citing=yes& url_ver=Z39.88-2004&rft_val_fmt=...

[Feature Request] Add keywords during import
This is a minor workflow enhancement, but often when I import references from e.g. the Pubmed browser in Bookends, my first action is to find the refs I imported then add keywords. It would be great if we could add keywords during the import. For example, select several refs, then ⌥-click the [Impor...

Web of Science OpenURLs and DOIs / PMIDs
Hi, if I wanted to generate an OpenURL for Web of Science using a DOI or PMID, according to the WoS OpenURL manual I need this: &rft_id Identifier Descriptor for Referent. To specify DOI (info:doi/VALUE), PMID (info:pmid/VALUE), UT (info:ut/VALUE). The Bookends user guide (p.275) doesn't say it ...

Re: Restrict the number of characters (words) during Attachment Renaming
Hm, perhaps you misunderstood. I mean the first author and last author surnames. Here is my Rename PDF format which if you have 5 authors produces the first and last author with an ellipsis: Screen Shot 2016-06-30 at 20.53.44.png So an article like: Roach, N. W., McGraw, P. V., & Johnston, A. (2...

Re: Restrict the number of characters (words) during Attachment Renaming
Just an update, that Jon did add an option to allow FIRST ... LAST author outputs in the format editor which works wonderfully for PDF renaming.

Re: [Feature Request] Bookends Support for Pubmed CITED-IN Search
Yes, the article I used as an example has 13 citations (according to WoS), of which 7 are available via PMC. The available PMC links are still very useful... PMC is I think the best/only open source for citation and other related links ----------------------------------------------- I don't know if ...

[Feature Request] Bookends Support for Pubmed CITED-IN Search
Pubmed offers a vey useful cited-in search. What would be great is if we could run a similar cited-in directly from Bookends. The easiest way would be just to do the search in Bookends browser, i.e. a context menu item would run a web search. However, what would be even better IMO would be for Booke...

Re: Citation downloads for Bookends
I've written to the publisher[1], though I suspect this is some general software backend as IIRC I've seen several different journals with the same citation menu and resultant N2 holding the abstract...

Citation downloads for Bookends
This is a minor point, but many journals web pages in the biological sciences at least, contain download buttons specific for Bookends, which is great. An example: http://cercor.oxfordjournals.org/citmgr?gca=cercor%3Bbhw168v1 By default however the Bookends specific button downloads RIS format which...

This sounds great! Do you have the source code for this somewhere for those of us that use Quicksilver/Launchbar etc. (this would almost make me switch from QS!!!)

Re: Request to split place and publisher
Well, one nice idea would be accessing what you can DO with DOI and PMID. You already have a button on the URL field (which you can argue is equally a "code" as a DOI, yet often far less useful). Having some buttons to access the DOI and PMID functions without having to navigate the large ...

Re: Request to split place and publisher
Not sure what this has to do with Applescripts? Anyway, as someone who uses Journal articles mostly, I would also either split Publisher/Address or better move them to Additional fields. Very few ref sources contain addresses and publisher is largely irrelevant for journal articles. So in my many th...
