Bookends crashes on the most recent PB of Catalina, I did multiple rebuilds. The library works just fine on Mojave.
It is an extensive crash log, but I will send mine shortly

Re: Database engine error, compressor error
On the iMac, I repaired/rebuild/verified/reindexed the database before copy/pasteing it.
But unfortunately, that does not work either.

Database engine error, compressor error
Hi, I use Bookends on my MacBook Pro, I have the latest version of Bookends and MacOS. Since a few weeks, I keep getting this error (see attachment) that forces Bookends to quit. I completely uninstalled Bookends (cache/application support/ plist) and reinstalled to no avail. I also ran at least two...

Adding keyword to batch of articles
I read through the manual to find an answer to my (imho) very simple question - can you add a keyword to a batch of articles with one click? To illustrate: I have 9000+ articles for a meta-analysis that all need a simple keywords 'Needs to be scanned' (so that my candidates know which are scanned (k...

Re: Feature request: easier smart group set up for keywords
Dropping in here, because this is an 'issue' I have as well. I loved how Sente was able to create sublevel tags, and I have yet to figure out how this is done in Bookends....

Re: Cloud Sync error
I have been stuck on an iCloud 503 error for iOS Bookends AND an 'CKErrorDomain error 7', resulting in non syncing for the iOS devices I have. No problem with desktop Bookends though. The unlinking-resyncing does not help, nor does a reinstall of iOS Bookends. My guess is that this is an iCloud error?

Re: Batch autocomplete PDFS?
A quick follow-up to this. I did notice that Browzine will export DOI for several journals (although not all). However, it does not place the DOI in the relevant Bookends 'Additional Fields' DOI field. So when I do 'Autocomplete paper', Bookends will have the DOI in the import window (see below for ...

Re: Batch autocomplete PDFS?
Good one - Browzine only exports the article title, so that'll be the culprit. I have contacted them with the same request as you.
Thanks again for the quick answer, have yourself a good weekend.

Re: Batch autocomplete PDFS?
Thanks for the quick answer.
I have tried Autofill From Internet, but the problem I have then is that the All Fields or Selected Field is greyed out so I cannot start doing the autofill, even though the articles have a DOI: when I do the autocomplete for each article, it automatically updates.

Batch autocomplete PDFS?
Is there a way to autocomplete (Shift+Command+c) PDFs in batches? I come from Papers and Sente and I have found batch autocomplete in those apps very useful. I have yet to find if Bookends has / does it... My workflow on the iPad is a combination of iPad, iOS Bookends, and MacOS (Bookends) - Use Bro...

iCloud Sync - sync preferences for labels and tags?
Moved from Sente to Bookends, very very excellent replacement. Thanks for creating and maintaining it. I have setup iCloud sync for my devices (iPads and Macs). This works really well for attachments and keywords. I haven't been able to find out if and how Bookends syncs tags and labels. I have setu...
