Feature request: sub-reference types
In order to avoid running out of custom reference types, which are 20, I was wondering if there is a way to create additional reference types under a reference type, as sub-formats. This would be optimal, given that there are many small variations within a certain given category of reference type. F...

Action Menu via Keyboard
I want to access the Action menu (found on the inspector, as well as in the attachment pane) via keyboard, is that possible? I'm working on a (Keyboard Maestro) script that pops up the Rename Attachment window for manual edit. Or perhaps there is a shortcut for this already that I'm not aware of.

Feature request: opening multiple standalone windows
BE13 gives you the option to open a reference standalone window by hitting enter, which is nice. But I would like to hit enter on multiple selected references to open them all. Can this be done in the next update?
Re: Thanks!
I second that.

Revisiting Library Window and Standalone Window
This topic has been discussed before, but I am revising it because of my workflow. Problem: Default Editing References (Preferences-Refs) does not allow both Standalone Window (One Window Per Reference) plus Library Window. Why is that a problem: I find myself constantly going to Preferences to swit...

Re: Journal Glossary Menu
Ok thanks! I asked because the manual says the following: "Glossaries are kept in a special folder called Journal Glossaries, which must be in the same folder as Bookends itself" p378. So it was not clear to me that it was inside the package.

Journal Glossary Menu
I want to clean up glossaries that I don't use under Journal Glossary menu. I see those that I created, but there are several others I need to disable. They are nowhere to be found within a supposed Journal Glossaries folder. I checked in Show Bookends Folder in Finder, under Help, and I also checke...

Re: What should a double click do?
I have two suggestions: (1) When one stops to think about it, double clicking a reference must do something useful besides selecting the reference, which a single click already does. (2) Double click should be customized in Preferences, which ideally could open a menu for your choice. In turn, the m...

Re: How to automate exporting of static folder
I have produced a more streamlined macro, this time with Keyboard Maestro 8. This is better than my Apple Script above. There are two things you have to do: 1) assign a folder destination in Biblio - Bibliography; 2) Change name of static folder, in this case "Thesis". This thing works lik...

Re: Bookends issue with High Sierra
I realize High Sierra hasn't been released yet, and don't expect you to support a beta, but just wanted to give you guys a heads-up about a fairly trivial issue: When I export a bibliography, the progress indicator shows the total number of entries being exported, but doesn't show the running total...

naupaka, thanks for your new script, which is native to applescript (my script was a a lot simpler, keystroke-based).
