Re: Behavior of files in sub-folders
Local iOS Bookends folder used for Wi-Fi sync? Because I just checked and moving files in the Bookends folder in iCloud Drive works fine. We will look at this and your other suggestions, maybe some of them will be included in the app update later this year.

Re: WiFi Sync Broken?
First of all please try to restart your Mac and Wi-Fi router (some users reported that it’s helpful when devices can’t find each other on the same network). Also you can try to relink your libraries. On macOS: Bookends -> File Menu -> Wi-Fi Synced iOS Devices -> Remove your linked libraries from the...

Re: Zoom bug in PDF reader?
Is it reproducible in PDF Viewer app (we are using their pdf engine)? If yes, please send them your pdf for testing.

Thank you, a feature request added, currently BOT doesn't support this type of sharing.

Re: Sharing into Bookends from RIS link on an articles?
Please share your link here or to my email, I tried to import RIS from JSTOR and the file was downloaded in Safari first and then on tap was imported to Bookends, for some reasons other apps weren't proposed by iOS.

Re: Getting started on Bookends IOS only
1. The EZProxy URL will be used only for already searched references, when you tap the full text url of the reference. 2. Currently Bookends for iOS doesn’t create bibliography, because usually Bookends for Mac generates final in-text citations and creates a bibliography. We've added a few initial s...

Re: Best method to recognize new annotations from other apps?
DrJJWMac, thanks for reporting this bug. Technically we are not sure if it’s a bug in the app or incorrect iOS behavior in some special cases, but in the next update we will add a fix for this.

Re: Feature Request: Control Information Shown in List View
There are too many possibilities, for example, somebody else will like your variant, but the missing year from the journal source line will be not enough. Or large font for title vs large bold font. Title in one line or two lines. It’s a good task for a new reference preview constructor. It’s a good...

Re: Best method to recognize new annotations from other apps?
Yes, I can reproduce this with DevonThink To Go v2. But if I add a new annotation in DTG then tap the back button and reopen the PDF (it looks like the file was saved only on close), on the next send to Bookends I can see newly added annotations. Do you see the same? If yes, please write to DTG supp...

Re: Database Commit Size Exceeded Cloud Sync
Yes, all you references and attachments are stored locally, so you can do Unlink, then "Remove Libraries from Cloud" to delete your cloud library and then sync your local library again.

Re: Database Commit Size Exceeded Cloud Sync
How large is your library, how many references? Do you have enough free space on your iCloud account, but if it was a space limit the message from Apple would be different. Currently I can only suggest to try again later and if the problem will not gone please try to delete your library from cloud a...

Re: Is there any interest in syncing Bookends for iOS with Zotero?
Iandol, we agree that the idea of some “bridge” between Bookends and Zotero libraries looks interesting. Some type of data migration of course, I’m not sure that it can be done 1:1 because of a few conceptual differences in data storage.

Is there any interest in syncing Bookends for iOS with Zotero?
We're considering the idea of possibly adding the ability to add and sync Zotero databases in Bookends for iOS. This would be a Pro (subscription) feature that would allow working with your Zotero library plus having many features BOT provides for adding and editing references like: online search, b...

Please write to support@referencesontap.com with more details and screenshots of every screen you seen on iOS and macOS during ap...

Re: WiFi sync with iPadOS stopped working
Please try to delete Bookends for iOS from one of your iPads and try to sync it with a newly created temporary library on Mac. If it doesn't work please try to create a computer-to-computer network (just for a test) as described in the Troubleshooting Wi-Fi sync (https://www.sonnysoftware.com/booken...
