It's likely that the database is not retrievable and you'll have to resort to a backup. You can zip and send me the database, but there is probably nothing that I can do with it, either.

That's easy. In the format for that Type, tell Bookends to insert " to " between authors (the usualy setting is , [comma space], or something along those lines).

The tag is the identifier Bookends looks for in the data -- that's how it knows what information goes where (they are entered in the import filter). Column sorts do not, as you know, carry over between launches. I'm not sure it's a great idea to do so, frankly (I can't think of any other app that does this). You know about the smart sql group that shows the last X (defined by you) entered references?
