Re: Praise: PDF "open in" feature
This sounds great. Would you pls provide a bit more detail as to the workflow or commands utilized.

Year Only in Text
Apologies, as I know this has been answered before. I can't recall the following and haven't had much luck searching the forums:
If I wish to have Bookends insert the year only in parentheses in my text, because the sentence begins with the author(s)' name(s), how do I modify the temp placeholder ...

Help With a Script
From time to time, I have attempted to integrate the attached script for DevonThink in my Bookends workflow. The script was kindly provided by a power user, Kyle Eggleton.
The script imports the title, authors, etc, but doesn't import the items of particular interest. That is, the annotations on ...

Floating Citation Window Issue WITH Solution
I was unable to access the floating citation window on my Mac. Jon had commented elsewhere that perhaps the OS was not allowing Bookends to talk to other apps through the OS (a paraphrase of the comments).

Feature Suggestion - Automated Notecards
Would it be possible to add a preference such that all highlighted groups of words are automatically transferred to individual notecards. This would quite helpful, for example, in use in sharing highlighted text to DevonThinks3 and perhaps other apps that can accept the notecards via Applescript, by ...

iCloud Workaround
I understand that Bookends databases are stored in an iCloud folder. By definition, the iCloud account is linked to a single Apple ID. But, if I have an additional device on a different iCloud account, has anyone devised a workaround to share the database so that the second device will remain up-to ...

Re: Praise: PDF "open in" feature
Though I’m not a Goodreader user, I had installed it on my phone. I shared from Bookends to Goodreader. GR asked if I wanted to read the file in or outside of the app. I guessed and chose outside. File then opened, I was able to highlight and highlights were visible in Bookends. So, lots of words ...

Feature Suggestion - Autocomplete
Is it possible to add a version of autocomplete to the IOS version. Perhaps with a smaller number of options. My shortlist is PubMed, google scholar and Crossref.

Syncing to Multiple Databases?
I’m wondering if anyone has identified a method for adding a reference to two separate databases in a single action or step?

Re: Sharesheet Issue Again
So, though I had only added one app in recent memory, I spent some time systematically removing Sharesheet items created by IOS as well as deleting some unused apps. After doing so, the Copy to Bookends share sheet item reappeared. Go figure!

Sharesheet Issue Again
Good Morning,
After months of flawless function, ‘Copy to Bookends’ has disappeared from the sharesheet on my iPad Mini-5. Has anyone else experienced this occurrence?
TY.

Re: Praise: PDF "open in" feature
Closed the document in PDF Expert and returned to Bookends. In fact I’m willing to bet that if you Bookends and your second app of choice side-by-side, you should be able to watch the annotations emerge in Bookends as you annotate in the other.
