How to include cited paragraphs instead of pages in citation
Some of my reference material must be quoted by paragraph not page number. So far I've used the @-sign in my temporary citations of these, but if I choose a format that will insert "p." in front of pages, this will of course lead to misleading citations. Hence I want my temporary citations...

Bookends with MS Powerpoint
Is it possible to use BE with Powerpoint ? When working in Powerpoint a double-click on ctrl (my floating citations trigger key) will open the search window of my BE library, but hitting enter will not insert the citation into the presentation, nor will a drag and drop. Copying the citation and past...

Simple question: How to enter special issues
What's the easiest and most efficient way to enter special issues of a journal ? One way to do this seems to be "add type" via the formats manager. But the downside is if I use different formats, I'll have to be doing this several times... Doesn't seem so handy. In my case I want to quote ...

Re: Word / Scrivener integration with Bookends
Thank you, this is pretty much what I was looking for ( but couldn't immediately find in the user guide) . However in neither textEdit nor Word the keyboard shortcuts (cmd-y, cmd-ctrl-y, etc.) seem to work. Do you happen to know why? Also the drag-and-drop feature doesn't work very smoothly ; in 80%...

Word / Scrivener integration with Bookends
Does anyone have suggestions for a workflow integrating Bookends with WYSIWYG word processors, specifically Microsoft Word and Scrivener. My default text processor will be TexPad or Scrivener , but I also have to use Word for one project, so Bookends needs to be easily accessible there, too. The &qu...

problem with watch folder
I have set up a watch folder following the instructions from the user guide, and I unchecked the box "don't rename files". However, Bookends does not manage to generate a reference from the DOI and hence attaches the PDF to a new reference entry with the title "Attached file 'original...

Re: Custom File Renaming Tutorial
Hello, can you provide some more detail on how to do this? e.g. I don't understand which space from the formats manager is used as the input to create the file name, when you use the custom format for renaming. More specifically I have been trying to create my own renaming format but haven't managed...
