Thanks. Let me know when you've had a chance to try the z39.50 Zetoc search (directly, so we can work through any issues that might arise).

If we (you and I) can get the z39.50 search to work, yes, we'll add it to the next update.

It looks like it would be simple to import. If nothing is imported, you probably haven't set "reference begins with" properly. In your example it would be 'AU:'

You'd have to reenter them. You can try your way and see. But if you know the final destination for your paper, you know the final format for footnotes.

I've created a filter based on the information at the URL you provided. I can't test it, however, because I obviously don't have privileges with Zetoc. So no doubt it needs work. If you want, you can contact me directly and I'll send you the filter to try. It's likely we can get this to work. Jon So...

Actually, how you use these fields is completely up to you. You just need to adjust the corresponding format Type to account for the kind of data you entered.

I'd do this in the following way:

1. For footnotes only -> Copy Formatted (no scan).
2. For bibliography -> Copy Citation -> Scan.

Right. There is a list (in Preferences) of words whose case should not be changed, which may be of some help. But of course if the rule for a particular word differs by language, then you do have to edit it yourself. Nonetheless, Bookends should be able to do the vast majority of the work for you. J...

You can semi-automate it --

1. Import to the Hits List
2. Global Change -> Change Case (title field, restrict to hits)

The site lied to you. This is RIS format (the most common EndNote- (and Bookends)-compatible file export from web sites).
