Niklas wants Bookends to use "hits list" as the default when you open a global change dialog. Now it's "database" (i.e. the change will affect all records -- you can change this to hits list, if there are references there, before making the change, of course.

Hi, WOS is owned by ISI, which makes EN (and RM and ProCite). To my knowedge, they haven't opened it up to anybody else, for competitive reasons I imagine (it's not a Z39-50-based server). Bookends has a filter for importing from WOS files (via your browser), but no direct search. Jon Sonny Software

I'll think about it. But realize that you can do Spotlight searches on pdfs in the default attachments folder, so you would lose this ability. Why not simply place the pdfs (in their subfolders) in the Bookends default attachments folder? Then Bookends wouldn't make a copy of them (because they are ...

I'm not completely sure what that error message means, but if it means you have an empty key field you can easily filx this in Bookends. Do a Find for all references in which User1 (or Key) is empty. If you find any, and they are among the references you exported, you can add a key. Jon Sonny Software
