request: Label order with each type

Post by patel.djl »

Hi, I have a lot of materials I put into bookends. Not the smallest part is archival materials. For this I put together a new type with a selection of labels. As I cannot use the standard Date label (it holds only one year and my materials cover sometimes decades) I had to use one of the extra ones »User x« for the purpose. This I pulled up at the right position for quick input of data. As a result I have now the »User x« label in every input area at this space as there seam to be only one label order for all types. This is of course conterproductive, as the labels should be in a way I can input data quickly.

Is there a way to have the Label order connected to each Type?

Cheers Viajay.

No. You can reorder the labels in the edit pane, but this isn't Type-specific. And you can use the standard Date field any way you like, it's not restricted to one year. It's an alphanumeric field. 2020-2022 works (in the format you use, you'd uncheck "use year-only for date".
