Question mark (and other symbols) in the title?

Post by Thomas »

Hi!

Bookends 8.0 seems to ignore question marks (?) that are part of a title (articles and books alike) when the reference is displayed in the formatted view.

Example:

When I enter "How and where does moral judgment work?" in the title field of the reference display, Bookends displays it like this in the "view formatted" field: "How and where does moral judgment work". In other word: It leaves out the "?"

Why is that, and how do I fix it?

Regards

I can't be sure exactly what's going on without more information, but if the Title ends in ? and the format calls for a period, Bookends may remove the question mark. Hm, that doesn't sound right -- it should preserve the period and not use the period. Let me look into that. Thanks for bringing it up.

So do you need more info, and what kind do you need? I can make a few screenshots and mail them to you if that would make it easier for you.

I think I understand the problem. I'll try to fix it for the next update.
