ed. book & book chap - archives & arch docs?

Post by Gerben »

Hi,

I have talked about this previously but i want to bring it up again. I have a feature request which is intended to make it simpler to cite archives and archival docs within them, with BE.

The way one cites archival documents in history is much like citing a chapter from an edited book: first one mentions the doc and than the archive in which it can be found. I think it would be very useful if there would be a reference type "archive" with a function "replicate as document from archive" (similar to "edited book" and "replicate as book chapter"). This means one only has to input an archive once and than can add as many docs as one likes.

Would this be an option, do other people feel it is useful?

Best,
Gerben
