About Proxy

Post by gnoli »

Dear all,
my University allows the access to electronic resources via proxy. Because the very strict anti-terrorism Italian law the access is via stunnel (an app that permits crypted access).
The University distributes a copy of Firefox preconfigured with stunnel, but, obviously, this copy runs only in Windows
I have Parallels and I am able to run the preconfigured Firefox smoothly, in "coherence mode", that is I am working in MacOS and I switch in Windows (XP) only if I click the Firefox window.
I wonder if would be possible to link Firefox/Window with BE in order to operate in the same manner than with Safari/MacOS

Thank you

Have you tried to transfer the Firefox setting to Firefox on your Mac? That should be possible, at least. (Perhaps they even use one of the auto-proxy configuration files, which you could just import to Firefox on the Mac?
