Zotero and Bookends

Just starting to check out Bookends, for the integration with Nisus, because it's been around a while, because of it's reputation.

I've perused earlier posts on working between Zotero and Bookends. Especially regarding export of attachments from Zotero and importing them into Bookends. Also using them together, e.g., using Zotero for research, where I get the impression it has some advantages over Bookends, and then exporting the results, again including attachments, and importing them to Bookends.

I've actually only experimented a little with Zotero. If feel pretty certain my small database could easily be gotten into Bookends one way or another. But the discussion I found on these topics was a bit dated. I wonder if anyone here has experience working with both, or could just update me on the current status of communication between Zotero and Bookends.
