On page 312 of Bookends 11.3.3 User Guide, I can read:
"If the reference has an ISBN and no pmid or doi, Bookends will use the ISBN to find the book
on Amazon.com."
I would suggest to extend this search capabilities to other sources, at least Amazon.it, Amazon.fr and so on.
I’m using such a feature in the app Booxter, from Deep Prose Software, and would find very useful to be able to use it right in Bookends.
(In its Preferences, Booxter gives the possibility to activate one or more of many search sources (including national libraries).
