Journal glossary export

Post by Nhaps »

I want to export my journal glossary in a way that preserves punctuation. After importing it from Excel the accents came out wrong.

I solved it just now, by changing the extension to txt. No need for Excel, TextEdit can read it, and so can TextExpander now.

Yes, a journal glossary is just a tab-delimited text file.

It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for the glossary and other useful features. Any plans to allow us to customize the toolbar?

To come back to the question, what about the other way around, what if I want to import a glossary list into Bookends? By changing the extension it does not seem to work, BE can't see it.

I'll fix that in the next update.

Great! Here is an option I would suggest: If file is 1 tab delimited, replicate abbreviation to Short Name column. Do you have an idea when this next update would be available?

We release updates about every 3-5 weeks. I don't have a date, but reasonably soon.

Talking about Journal Glossaries, I found a typographical error in the Humanities glossary file. The file has "Fró_skaparrit", but it should be "Fróðskaparrit".
