About polls

Is it possible to start a poll on this forum which is not related to a specific message?

Hi Ekius,

This is from the phpBB user guide (not terribly grammatical, but...):

"Polls are a special type of that allow community members to vote on an idea or issue.Â Polls can only be made from the top post in a topic."
