Search ID#

Post by iljajj »

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it either in the manual or on the forum. Is it possible to find a reference by its ID# alone? When Mellel tells me it can't find a certain ref it mentions the ID# number and the author. However, since I work with a lot of newspaper articles, when the author is "Anon." it's not much use to me.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, Command-F, then set the pop-up menu that tells Bookends what to search for to Unique ID.

Ahhh... I only used the options in the top right search bar. Thanks!

I'd like to have the unique id included in the list of search fields in the main upper-right search bar. It's pretty common that I'll see items in my manuscript with just that number so I need to search by it. I'm happy to see there's a way to do it, but it took a while for me to find it here.

Thanks!
