Alimetrics?

Post by Teddy »

Love the latest updates :)

Just do you have any plans for seeing a papers citation scores & alimetrics? This is a feature on papers 3, would be useful on Bookends too.

I approached them a few months ago -- they only work with large companies (e.g. Nature published group before Papers was sold, and now the ReadCube group, whatever they're called). The costs are prohibitive. It's possible we could link out to Altmetrics in a browser -- I haven't looked into that.

Thanks Jon. Obviously just a quick way out to see how a paper is doing on twitter etc, number of citations etc.

Some references, by some publishers, if you go to them in Safari/internal browser have their own alimetric service - it’s a few clicks - and doesn’t work for all publications.

That's right. Altmetrics lists the limitations on their web site.
