Using Chicago 16 with Scrivener

Post by DaveF »

Hi guys.

I've inserted a bunch of in-text citations from Bookends to Scrivener. Once I exported to Word, I then scanned the document, selecting Chicago as the format.

The Bibliography has generated fine, but the citations have not converted to footnotes, as I understand they should in Chicago.

Any ideas?

Bookends doesn't convert citations in the body of the text to footnotes -- that's a function for you word processor. You crate the footnote in the word processor, and place the temp citation there. Bookends will find and replace it with the corresponding final citation.
