Problem:
Most styles (I'm using Chicago) call for 3-em dash for repeated author name in bibliography:
Smith, John. "Facts about Things."
———. "Facts about Other Things"
However, after scanning my document with Bookends and having the bibliography inserted, I see that Bookends is not automatically styling it this way. Instead, it's repeating the author name in full, like this:
Smith, John. "Facts about Things."
Smith, John. "Facts about Other Things"
Question:
Is it possible to tell Bookends (13.0.7) to conform to the 3-dash style in generating the bibliography?

Re: Bibliography with repeating authors
There's a setting for that on the Bibliography Options tab: Replace repeated authors with...

Re: Bibliography with repeating authors
Jon,
I have "Replaced repeated authors with ———" checked, yet it does not work. Bookends continues to repeat the name of the author. I am working with Mellel 4.
Thanks,
Moises

Re: Bibliography with repeating authors
All the authors have to match, exactly.
