Autocomplete paper is greyed

Can not use autocomplete to automatically fetch author, title etc on the recent 2 papers I imported into the library. Have restarted the app, that don't work. In the menu (Ref - autocomplete paper) the autocomplete paper is greyed. Any suggestions?

The selected reference must have an attachment or the menu will be disabled. If it does, try Rebuilding your library.

Is this an indication of a corrupt library? Why does this happen?

Did you do a Rebuild and, if so, did it make a difference?

No.
I imported a paper from Journal of Clinical Oncology, one of the most famous cancer journals, still greyed out after rebuilding the database.

Bookends doesn't really care if an attachment is famous or not. Contact tech support and send a screen snap of what you see.

For anyone following, the problem was that the PDF didn't have correct extension (the name ended in . instead of .pdf). Once the extension was fixed Bookends recognized it as a PDF and Autocomplete Paper was enabled.
