window management

Post by dtoub »

It's a bit problematic. First, unless I'm in full screen mode or else have actively resized the window, the icons at the bottom are not displayed.

But even worse, if I'm in full screen mode, the attachment window doesn't display the reference list, making this cumbersome to work with:

Any thoughts? Thanks.

#1 I can't explain. Do you have automatic window tabbing turned on in Preferences.

#2 is a feature, not a bug -- full screen with the PDF view open -> a dedicated PDF viewer. Use tabs (the Bookends kind) if you want to flip between references. Or if you really want the ref list to show, click on the green button with the Option key held down. That gives you full screen except the menu bar shows -- and Bookends won't hide the ref list.

Thanks Jon. Yes, I do have tabs on by default. But changing that doesn't make any difference, actually.

2. OK. I can make that work with the option key. Thanks.

Automatic tabbing lowers the window contents (to make room for the tabs). After changing it in preferences to "Manually" close and reopen the library window. If it's still cut off at the bottom I don't know what's causing it.
