Autocomplete Viewer

Post by Najeeb »

Recent convert to Bookends and loving it.
Jon has been amazing at responding to my newbie query.

Quick Question for other experienced users.
When importing a PDF, book or article, the autocomplete viewer pops up. I have my pref set to Preview as the default Pdf reader, and it works fine int he main viewer but in the autocomplete viewer it uses Adobe. Anyway to change this to Preview? Its not critical but I keep getting annoying pop up requests from Adobe requiring me to enter my password over and over again.

Bookends uses it's own WebKit display, neither Preview or Adobe. In fact, the Adobe PDF plugin badly interferes with Bookends. We have a FAQ about this -- please remove the Adobe PDF plug ins, it will cause nothing but problems.

Great Thanks... I did see the faq on it, but failed to note that the plugins are not in the User Library (where my Internet Pugins folder was empty), nor inside the System X Folder Library, but the other Library. :D
I mention this incase other people get all the three Library folders confused.
