Custom ref types and field labels gone in BE 13.2.2

Post by DerangedChef »

Hi -

I am excited about the iCloud syncing of global references in BE 13.2.2.
Alas, after launching 13.2.2 for the first time, my customized reference types and field labels are gone and have been replaced by the default settings.

Some observations:
- The file "TypesAndLabels.txt" in Bookend's Application Support folder has apparently been replaced with a version of 3/22/2019 that contains the default values. In TimeMachine backups before launching BE 13.2.2, I see my old TypesAndLabels.txt file of a newer date which contains my correct, customized labels.
- When looking around in iCloud data, I find the folder

Code: Select all

~/Library/Mobile\ Documents/iCloud~com~sonnysoftware~bot/Documents
but it seems to be empty; also no invisible files.

I upgraded from BE 13.2.1.
This is on macOS 10.13.6

Please advise - thanks!

Replacing "TypesAndLabels.txt" with a Time-Machine backup copy restored my custom types and labels.
I did not yet verify iCloud preference syncing.

After replacing TypesAndLabels.txt in Finder please go to Bookends Preferences and edit any of the type names, for example, add and delete any character. So, on the next sync, Bookends will upload your current TypesAndLabels to the cloud.
