"Fixed a bug when adding a PDF via the watch folder to an existing reference where it would replace any attachments already there."
Does this recent bug fix mean what I think it does: the files that were previously attached will be lost for ever? Or merely moved to the trash?

It would replace the *name* of the PDF in the database. The old PDF file itself wasn't touched.

And what would happen to the new PDF? It would also be attached? Or the old PDF would have the name of the new PDF, and the new PDF would be trashed?

As I said, the attachment NAME in the database would be replaced with the NAME of the new PDF. That's all. The actual PDFs were not affected. If you have more questions email tech support.

So the reference would end up with two PDF attached.
