New MacBook Pro and Scanning command missing

Picked up a new MBP today and installed all software again. After installing Bookends, and MS Word, I noticed that the scan command in Word is not there. How do I scan my documents now? How do I get it to show again? I'm running Office for Mac 16.31.

I don't know. Check to makes sure Bookends.dotm is checked in the Templates and Add-ins menu. You can see the add-ins and the files themselves in the Bookends Folder -> Scripts for MS Word and make sure they're in the right location.

Thanks. Oddly, when I restarted Word again, it was there. Seems fine now.

Add-ins are recognized by Word when the app launches -- if it was running when Bookends installed the scripts they wouldn't show up until you relaunched Word.
