About citations

Dear all,
I was revising a manuscript in Nisus writer pro which has already had the references scanned by Bookends. After deleting some references (as in the numbered form), Bookends failed to unscan the manuscript. Is there a way to solve this crisis other than re-entering all the reference hand-by-hand?
