White cursor in Notecards

I wonder whether you could consider changing the colour of the cursor in the Notecard, in dark mode, from white to another colour. Is very difficult to see the cursor when editing the Notecard

That's controlled by the OS, not a setting in Bookends.

If the cursor colour is set by the OS then is it possible to change the pale yellow background of the notes field to a colour that provides more contrast and makes the white cursor (in dark mode) more visible?

You mean when you click to edit the notecard? Yes, I can remove that color in Dark Mode.

Yes, that is what I mean. See this link for a GIF that demonstrates how difficult it is to see the cursor in a notecard
