Adding suffix to author name

Post by Howard »

Is it possible to add a suffix (i.e. Jr, Sr, III) to an author's name? When I try to do it the software treats the suffix as an initial. The citation I am trying to produce should look like this:

Taylor FB Jr, Toh CH, Hoots WK, Wada H, Levi M; Scientific Subcommittee on
Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) of the International Society on
Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH). Towards definition, clinical and laboratory
criteria, and a scoring system for disseminated intravascular coagulation. Thromb
Haemost. 2001 Nov;86(5):1327-30. PubMed PMID: 11816725.

Instead the first author comes out as:
Taylor FBJ, ... or Taylor Jr FB, ...

Yes, it is (p. 51 in the user guide):

Taylor, FB, Jr

Although I don't think you can avoid a comma between the initials and the Jr.

Alternatively, entering the title with the surname may work for you.

Taylor Jr, FB
