PDFpenPro

Post by Adrian »

In the latest Bookends Preferences it is not possible to differentiate between PDFpen and PDFpenPro. I find, personally, PDFpenPro much more versatile. Will it be possible in the next release to choose this latter application as my default pdf reader? Thank you. (See also the attachment)

OK.

In the meantime, you can open a PDF in PDFpenPro by dragging the proxy PDF icon in Bookends onto the image of PDFpenPro in the Dock.

Many thanks, Jon, for your swift reply.
It does not quite work for the moment, or, maybe, (in fact, probably), I misunderstood you.
In any case, it is not urgent, and I can wait until the next update, if you think you can introduce this feature there.
By the way, when do you think we will have such a (rather minor) update?
Many thanks

Drag and drop of the PDF proxy icon to the dock works well, I just tried it. If you don't know what the PDF proxy icon is, please refer to the User Guide (Help menu) for the various tools in the PDF toolbar.

The next update will probably be in a few weeks.
