Optional mode for fullscreen PDF?

Post by GJPhD »

Ever since version 13.0, I find the full screen PDF implementation not optimal for my workflow, particularly because the tabs with the author (year) don't give me all the information I need to select a PDF. For instance, I have multiple Same Author / Same Year tabs open, which makes it difficult to assess which title belong to that.

As a work-around, I maximise my Bookends window without going into full-screen, but that still hinders my workflow (e.g. when tabbing through Finder windows, they move in front of my Bookends window). For my, I would love the references I am interested in for a specific task to be above the PDF windows, have the PDF of the selected article pop up when I need it, and have the right pane open for adding keywords and notes while reading the PDF?

Would it be possible to have the full screen PDF implementation to be optional in a future release?

Oh no, that widescreen lay-out in the 13.4.4 update is a very useful addition.

Sorry for posting, I hadn't seen the update.
