Creating removable in-text citations question

Post by thecritic »

How can I have an in-text citation with cited pages be transformed after a scan into *just* cited pages, like (34)? I've consulted pages 232-239 of the manual, but I can't seem to find anything, and I could swear that this was possible in the past.

I can't think of an ad hoc way to do that. You may have to simply enter the page number a normal text. There may be special cases where you can, for example if this is the second cite for that article, the format calls for "Ibid", and you choose to suppress "Ibid." for that citation with the = metacharacter.

Would it be worth it to find another character which could be added to the beginning of an in-text citation (after the opening bracket) to show the page range and add the reference to the bibliography after a scan?

No. Just enter the cited pages yourself.
