Year Only in Text

Post by doclrb »

Apologies, as I know this has been answered before. I can't recall the following and haven't had much luck searching the forums:

If I wish to have Bookends insert the year only in parentheses in my text, because the sentence begins with the author(s)' name(s), how do I modify the temp placeholder, or simply how does one do it?

Many Thanks. This time I'll file the tip where I can find in the future.

You can see all metacharacter modifiers in the Edit -> Copy Citation With Modifiers dialog (as well as the docs, of course). Use % for date-only.
