Keyboard shortcut for new static group?

Post by taja »

Would it be possible to have a keyboard shortcut for adding new static groups? It's not a menu item so users can't map one onto it. Perhaps ctrl + option + n? The reason I ask is that I often have to add lots of groups in a row (e.g. when mapping out reading lists for weeks of a new syllabus), and it would save some time and cognitive overhead switching from keyboard to mouse and back again.

You can also just drag the references to the groups pane and drop on empty space or any of the fixed groups (e.g. All) and Bookends will offer to create a new groups for you.

Thanks Jon, I wasn’t aware of that, that's helpful. The reason for pressing for a keyboard shortcut is that sometimes manic course creation requires creating lots of groups (12 per course...) well before deciding what references are going to be in them...
