Changing Day/Month order

Post by marcus »

Is there a way to change the day/month order. In my "newspaper" type, I've been filling in the Day (#) Month (e.g. 10 June) in this format.

8 March (2017 is filled in the date category).

Chicago style, however, requires that the date be written as : Month Day, Year.
Example:

Manjoo, Farhad. 2017. “Snap Makes a Bet on the Cultural Supremacy of the Camera.” New York Times, March 8, 2017. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/08/tech ... amera.html.

Is there a way to change the date order format of that field so that Month comes before day or do I have to manually reverse these for each reference?

If they are entered as one string in the Mon & Day field (e.g., March 8) then no, Bookends can only output them as is. In future you could split these between 2 fields (of your choice), in which case you could order their output as you want in the format.
