How do I sync only a sub-folder of attachments to cloud?

Post by DrJJWMac »

I want to sync attachments only in one sub-folder (the default library folder for a specific library) to a cloud service that is NOT iCloud and not through Bookends WiFi sync (Google drive in this case). What is the official, best way to do this?

The goal is to share the attachments with a collaborator who works exclusively on Windows systems.

You can keep those attachments in a folder like Dropbox. Attach one file in that folder to Bookends and tell Bookends to leave it there. Now it's an ad hoc attachment folder and Bookends will find attachments there if they aren't found in the default folder. You can share the Dropbox folder with your collaborator.

Of course Bookends won't automatically move attachments to that folder, so for those PDFs you'd put them in it yourself.
