With certain types of attachment PDFs, Bookends will show the dreaded spinning beach ball and take an exceptionally long time to open the attachment view. I think the issue is associated with PDFs that are extensively hyperlinked internally and with PDFs that are OCR'd/bitmap imaged.
Any hints on what can be done to avoid this problem? Should I follow up directly to support with a ZIP archive of the files to test?
Spinning beach ball when trying to view attachments?
Re: Spinning beach ball when trying to view attachments?
Never mind. I believe the issue is resolved. I think the problem had to do with the file names. One of them had "special characters" such as /. I ran an AppleScript to fix the file names to a different convention. The attachments now open immediately.
